Welcome to the world of Carpe Diem, an intermediate/advanced, stray cat, play-by-post role-play.
Magic is not allowed, but creativity is and if you enjoy role-playing or simply love cats then this is a great place for you.
Personally, I found this to be a very simple choice. Sequna is by far our most active member and is constantly on the site, posting with all three of her wonderful characters. She's been in many threads and her role-playing is constantly improving - she's even decided to limit the amount of threads on her newest character in order to focus on improving the level of posting from that character. After Sequna starting out role-playing Rose Thornbush, a unique young she-cat. When she thought she was ready more she decided to role-play (with my permission) Reed Sunseed, the brother of my own character Dandelion Sunseed. From a brief mention in Dandi's history, Sequna created a whole character that is lovable and very three-dimensional. Recently she became the first person after myself to have a third character. All I can say is congratulations!
Violet was chosen for this award because she is interesting, energetic and impossibly lovable. Her posts are nicely written with steady improvement and she participates in more than one thread at a time. She's come up with some great plots ideas with myself for how to make this little feline's life even more interesting and I know I can't wait to put them into action. This she-cat is peppy and full of life with a huge heart and great intentions. She's already gotten up to mischief and found her big sister she always dreamed of meeting and I can only wonder what lies down the road for the energetic, optimistic ball of fur. All around, Violet is a wonderful character and we are so pleased to have her roaming the streets of Nenbrook.
All in-character posts that you make must be at least 100 words in length.

A Winding, Stretching Path... The old road winds and stretches out from the outskirts of Nenbrook to the beautiful Silvercrest Woods. It is here that many humans decided to abandon their cats when they can no longer handle them. It is here that many a cat has commenced their journey as a stray and it is here that you will do the same...
Chershire A small, cozy neighborhood on the very outside of Nenbrook, Chershire is a quiet community of humans. Many stray cats are seen wandering through the streets and along the sides of the roads and are usually tolerated by the humans. However some can be nasty so cats must keep their wits about them when travelling through here.
Shire Market A couple minutes away from Chershire lies a small market dubbed the Shire Market. A couple stores have been built here for the humans convenience however behind the little strip mall are tall silver cans of garbage and waste not wanted by the store owners. Many a cat has eaten their fill from here however the store owners are not at ll tolerant ad will not hesitate to throw out an unwelcome feline- literally.
The Town Dump Every town needs one: a dump. Every morning, garbage trucks come out to the dump from different parts of Nenbrook and unload their trash. For the most part of the day there are a few humans who work to unload trash and deal with what has been brought over by townspeople however if a cat is careful, he or she can usually manage to plunder more than enough to satisfy their hunger. Just be careful not to get caught!
Laurence Barn A small run-down barn stands near the road. Once a beautiful red and white, the paint has now faded and chipped and it is clearly in need of some serious work. Loose boards provides easy entrance into the barn for any small creature, such as a cat, who wishes it. Inside can be found many squeaking rats that the farmer does not mind at all to be killed.
The Chicken Coop A couple metres away from the barn is a small coop where the farmer keeps his chickens. An indoor shed offers protection during the night while a fenced in area outside lets them be safe during the day as they peck around for seeds. Be warned: unlike the rats, the farmer will mind if his chickens are killed and a similar fate might await any cat he catches.
The Pumpkin Patch Further back is the fields is a large plot of land which the farmer uses to grow his pumpkins during the fall. They make a wonderful sight, all large and round and orange and are quite fun to play amongst, especially for young kittens. During the spring and summer, the farmer uses the field for growing strawberries however all year round it is referred to as 'the pumpkin patch'.
Fisher Park Just outside the woods is a small park where the humans bring their children to come and play during the day when the weather is nice. Some will throw tidbits of food to stray cats seen wandering around but others are quite suspicious and unfriendly to any strays they see and will shoo them away from their children without a second's hesitation.
Inside the Woods Inside the woods it is calm and tranquil, a lovely place to sit alone and think. The woods are large and spacious and the dens foliage provides both cover and warmth for the strays who live here. Humans are rarely seen and when they are it is only along one of the few paths that wind lazily through the woods.
Thorton Stream A small stream banks the park and then winds through the woods in an S. Small fish and minnows can be seen swimming down slowly and occasional frogs can be spotted as well. The stream is shallow enough for an adult cat to wade across but kittens should be careful. Even so the waters just at the banks is shallow enough for the little ones to splash around on hot days while their parents relax in the shade. During the winter the stream is completely frozen.
